RARE VICTORIAN WICKER REVOLVING BOOKCASE TABLE This rare wicker table was constructed with a revolving unit built into the base. It was intended for interior use, either in the home’s library or parlor. The distinctive swivel feature is divided by 4 panels of fancy wickerwork and beading. Books or objects of art were displayed on the wooden shelf, and the component rotated for easy reach. Arching reed curlicues at the upper legs and birdcage design taper down to brass capped feet. The legs and joining cross stretchers are all closely wrapped in cane.
